Sellers should use this data to create a tiered COD policy: unrestricted COD in low-RTO zones, COD with partial advance payment in medium-RTO zones, and prepaid-only in chronically high-RTO pincodes. This approach protects margins without entirely sacrificing the conversion benefit that COD offers in trust-sensitive markets.
Packaging Failures and Shipment Damage in Transit
Packages are frequently refused at the doorstep—or flagged by couriers mid-transit—because of visible damage to the outer packaging.
